A designerly perspective on IoT is an extension of the DIGSIM squad and concerns tangible and embodied interaction design. My group was tasked with designing rich interaction IoT device that functions within a growing system. We created a locust of air quality control that provided a rich spatial awareness experience and wrote a research paper outlining our findings with this prototype.

I developed a deep understanding of tangible and embodied interaction design, familiarizing myself with its key concepts and theories. I also learned to use a range of frameworks and tools to effectively conceptualize and prototype my designs while also exploring how to communicate the qualities of my design in its aesthetics. This course has also helped me develop a critical attitude toward my designs and articulate my views to others.
